Bridge Program - Free Skate Levels

This program is for who have graduated from Learn to Skate Basic Skills Levels and are interested in taking their figure skating skills to the next level.

The Bridge Program is designed to teach ice skating skills at a faster pace in a group lesson environment and to introduce the benefits of club membership. The program uses the Learn to Skate USA Free Skate curriculum to give skaters a strong foundation in figure skating.

Each Free Skate level is divided into three sections: skating skills, spins and jumps. The levels are designed to give skaters a strong foundation and it is at this point the skater can choose to pursue a recreational or competitive approach to the sport of figure skating.

Saturday Bridge Classes will offer various lessons each week including:

  • warm-up and stretching routines
  • stroking exercises
  • crossover drills
  • spins
  • jumps
  • ice dance

Parents will learn about the Beaver County Figure Skating Club’s role and function, when to start private lessons, how to select a coach for private lessons, and more.

Participants in the Bridge Program must own their own figure skates – No Rentals will be permitted in the Bridge Program.
